Trek through Chimmony wildlife reserve, Trichur, Kerala, India

A trek through the forests of Chimmony wildlife reserve (Trissur), with the Cochin Adventure Foundation team. A 13 kilometre trek to and fro. Luckily, there was no rain but the terrain was muddy and wet. Plenty of leeches around, no animals sighted but heard a lot of animal and bird sounds. The uphill Trek was breath taking, in literal sense . Climbing down the slippery muddy hill was an arduous task, with no trodden path. Around 300 meters downhill was very tough for me. Many slipped and fell into the mud. Fortunately I didn't fall but got royally stressed out trying to find a footing and not fall. It was a fabulous experience with a great team of people. Europe trip with besties

August 2023 My college besties and I went on a lil trip to Europe. It was a dream we had had for years but the plan was quick and immediate. 3 of us were in Kerala, one in Dubai, one in Dallas and one in Nigeria. We were not sure how we would pull it off, especially when we opted to do it on our own and not go with any agent. The one in Nigeria got her schengen visa rejected the first time and had to re-apply. That got the rest of us nervous but got through, with the last person (in Dubai) getting her visa just one week before the fixed date.   Amsterdam, Netherlands – All of us landed in Amsterdam in the morning, with a gap of a few hours. We loved the buzz, the people, the landscapes, and all that cycling people were doing. We found them happy, fit and very friendly. They were helpful and spoke English. We spent 4 days there. Visited Giethoorn, Hague, Utrecht, Delft and Zaanse schan. Explored the main areas like Dam square and the red streets. Rented a car for 2 days, at the air

Leh, Ladakh

June is a good month to visit Leh, Ladakh. It was always there in my wish list but never in my wildest dreams did I think I would one day visit the place. This was a tour that was booked, a ladies' only trip, people who didn't know each other, people of different ages, occupations and places. Many of us flew from Cochin to Delhi to Leh. Some joined us in Delhi from Bangalore.  Leh airport is a very small one and the difference in the atmosphere hits you once you are out of the airport. It was cold, dry and there wasn't much of oxygen. We walked briskly with our baggage as we came out, like we always do and a few steps up the slope, we were out of breath. Our drivers came running and asked us to give them the baggage and to take small, slow steps. We reached our hotel, a comfortable place. After breakfast, our tour guide briefed us - not to walk fast, to rest for one day, not to eat much and not to take a bath. As all of us had spent the previous night in Delhi airport for
